The company originated in 1981 when Mr. Alejo Jacinto Guzman Along with a partner founded the company called Guineos Dominicans, then Guineos They bought a plantation in the area of Hato Nuevo Mao, there made their own sales to small traders who transported and sold throughout the Guineo on the Main Market of Santo Domingo, then acquire a small shop in Santo Domingo where the Guineos matured and sold in bunches. The company began to grow strongly and the Dominican revolutionize commercial market with modern systems such as bananas packed in plastic containers and pallets, with good prices and fixed quickly becoming the most popular marketing bananas.

In 2001, the Guzman Family acquires 100 hundred shares and change the company name to Guidom SRL and dabbling in sales to exporters. After several years due to the high demand for bananas from their customers create a new company called Cana Group Corp where it is dedicated to buy from producers and sell at the local market having sales facilities in major and tourist cities.

In 2013, after an intense reorganization of the various businesses and improvements in structures, the bases in what is now Guidom SRL and Cana Group Corp, which was completed in 2013 sat. Since companies have maintained a sustained expansion and international growth.

Currently is the leader in sales of the Dominican Republic with 9 retail outlets in 4 provinces and is today with some of the shopping and packing structures with more knowledge and credibility in the Country

Distribution

Important information

Our farm is Fair Trade and Global Gap certified, thus it can only supply Fair Trade bananas;
Some of our contracted farmers produce Global Gap only bananas;
Depending on availability, our bananas can be exported from the Port of Manzanillo, which is close to our farm or from the Port of Caucedo, near Santo Domingo;
Every farm has a packing facility and fruit is packed at the place of production.
As soon as the bananas are harvested, they are packed and placed in reefer containers which are then sent to port;
